About the project

The owner of this apartment is a young energetic girl, for whom the house was supposed to be a place of strength and relaxation.

She wanted a light, almost hotel-like interior, but was ready to experiment with spectacular accents.

In the project, I need to implement a maximum of tasks: to divide the space intelligently, to organize a full-fledged sleeping place, a dining room for receiving guests, a work area, a wardrobe and a kitchen on a small area.

Interior details do not argue with each other in any angle.

The landlady will not have to cook snacks in front of the guests, as it often happens in studios — when the refrigerator, stove and oven are a couple of meters from the sofa in the opposite corner and become the only possible landscape.

I beat the narrow corridor with an interesting and reasonable arrangement of the walk-through kitchen, moved it to the side and thus broke the space, and installed a spacious wardrobe opposite. Everything needed is at hand, but the hob does not invade the living area.

A flat wall TV is located opposite a soft sofa and a coffee table with marble from Sovet, it can brighten up the evening, or, if the landlady decides so, go unnoticed. As well as a sleeping place.

There’s only a bed and a spot light for reading. This zone also easily "disappears" if you close the curtain.
The bedroom, despite the small dimensions of the apartment, remains an intimate space and accessible only to the owner. And in case of a sudden arrival of guests, a dress forgotten on a chair can be thrown behind the curtain.

There is no extra furniture in the small hallway, as the wardrobe is located right behind it

A high mirror in which the owner will finally evaluate her outfit before going out, hooks — she will hang her coat and purse on them when she returns in the evening, comfortable banquettes by Kartell and Bontempi — to sit down, take off her shoes and step into her cozy home. The door to the bathroom elegantly and modestly pretends to be a wall: the molding frame continues on its canvas.
This is another move that repeats on each wall and allows you to preserve the integrity of the entire space.

The pure accent is snow-white plumbing, it is slightly shaded by light marble tiles. We chose it for the floor in the hallway and living room.
The color harmony of this apartment is literally outlined with black strokes of lighting fixtures, the Kdln floor lamp loop complements the round silhouettes of sockets and switches.

Details play with geometrically precise zoning lines

These are large-scale stylish posters under glass, sculptures and fresh flowers, velvet pillows and a blanket casually thrown on top, wax-filled candlesticks next to a strict Kartell table lamp.
The paintings are not symmetrically hung on the walls, they are attached to them, as if the owner had just made an impulsive purchase into the apartment — another piece of art that it was impossible to pass by.

In a tiny square footage, the designer of this project managed to accommodate all the necessary functional areas and even make it bright and cozy.
