The concept

My task was not just to renovate the living room, but to create a real heart of the house. A place where you can gather the whole family, wrap yourself in a blanket with a book, invite friends to karaoke, play board games and even stay the night.

All this is in one space, which should be cozy, functional, stylish and personal at the same time.

On the contrary, each square meter smoothly flows into another, and many self-sufficient elements form a single image.

Planning solution

Zoning

The central place is occupied by a sofa, deep and soft, like a cloud. It has drawers for storing pillows and blankets, as well as a transformation for a full-fledged sleeping place for two. It’s like a hug—warm, kind, and doesn’t let go.

Next to it is an armchair with velvety upholstery the color of spicy cinnamon. This is not just an accent, but a small throne for cozy rituals: a cup of coffee, an evening TV series, or to sit down with the children for a board game.

The table is rounded, stable, in a shade of ripe pomegranate

Its massive shape and smooth surface create a feeling of stability and warmth. It’s like he’s inviting you to put everything you need on yourself—from books to tangerines and a glass of wine.
The partition between the kitchen and the living room visually separates the zones without cluttering up the light and air.

Storage system

There is a full—fledged storage unit under the stairs, nothing superfluous in sight, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Along the wall, where four doors used to "make noise", there is now a graphic strip that visually unites the surface. The doors literally disappear.
This technique made it possible to keep the functionality, but remove the visual noise.

Lighting and atmosphere

Three suspended chandeliers, like stars overhead, create both evening light and a festive mood. The floor lamp by the sofa adds privacy and serves as an ideal light for reading. The steam fireplace is built into the low module of the TV area ‑ it creates a feeling of warmth without an open fire.
The atmosphere is like in an Alpine chalet, only with an oriental accent.

Color, materials, textures

The walls are wooden slats, painted in three colors: warm ochre, wine and creamy white. Colors are not just decorative, but emotional — they give energy, while not tiring.
The ceiling has black beams that connect to the back staircase. Everything fits into a single graphical solution.
Curtains are not fabric, but white wooden shutters, as in country houses in the south. This solution combines aesthetics, privacy and easy care for them.

The details that make the project come alive

Paintings are not just decorations, but part of a master class. The golden mirror by the stairs is not just an element. It will be created together with the whole family in an interactive program.
It reflects not only the faces, but also the character of this family.
The bookshelf is neat, not intrusive, but real. Because in a house where people read, there should be at least one shelf with a soul.
